LEGO® Legends is a small play-based group therapy program aimed at supporting the social development of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other social communication challenges.
Based on the Lego® therapy model, children between the ages of 7 – 9 years work together in small groups, with assigned roles to build Lego® sets while our therapists focus on supporting their communication and social interaction with each other.
There is a strong emphasis on social thinking and imaginative play development. Children will be supported to apply their problem solving and interaction skills as they learn to play together with their created Lego® sets.
Lego Legends will target fine motor and cognitive skills in a peer group setting with a focus on teamwork, social communication, competition, problem solving and following directions.
