SIEMMA RADCLYFFE

WHY DID YOU BECOME A SPEECH PATHOLOGIST?

I initially wanted to become an early childhood teacher and came across the Speech Pathology course. I was instantly drawn to the subjects and could see so many potential career pathways that involved children.

What are your particular areas of interest?

I absolutely love working with children, in particular children who have a disability. I have worked predominantly with children on the autism spectrum and have developed a strong interest in behaviour management.

Why Bloom?

Coming from a multidisciplinary team approach, I love the fact that Bloom have access to both speechies and OTs! The team have already made me feel welcome and there is a great energy at the practice.

How do you spend your free time? Any hobbies?

I love being around friends and family! Coming from the islands, I’d happily spend all my free time on the beach and in the water. I love anything outdoors from hiking, camping and rock climbing. My partner and I have been renovating a caravan so I look forward to the adventures we will have in that!

These are a few of my favourite things…

– traveling!
– cooking and eating
– boxing
– dancing
– karaoke
– movies
