Why did you become a speech pathologist?

I have always been passionate about working with people, and helping others. When I was working as a pharmacist I felt like it wasn’t as “hands on” as I thought.  When I came across another speech pathologist, and she told me all about her job and it sounded like the perfect job for me!

What are your particular areas of interest?

I really enjoy working with the pediatric population , and also working with clients who have voice concerns. Dysphagia is also another area I am interested in.

Why Bloom?

Why not Bloom? 🙂 I’ve met some wonderful people at Bloom and I can not imagine a greater place to explore the world of speech pathology!

How do you spend your free time? Any hobbies?

I like spending my free time with my family, friends, and my dog, Poppy.

I like to go on hikes and walks out doors whenever I can, and of course Poppy comes along!
I also love baking! I don’t get much of a chance to do so lately but when an opportunity arises, I definitely like to make a cake (or 6)!

These are a few of my favourite things…

– traveling and exploring the world
– trying new things
– poppy!
– boxing
– cooking and baking
